In August of 2015, I was chosen to be an America Achieves fellow. As a fellow, it is my duty to push the status quo ensuring that America's children are taught in the ways that truly ensure a rigorous education.
My husband and son whose names are Cleveland and myself.
I truly love teaching and learning. This image was captured by a student while I was in the midst of a lecture. :-)

Welcome.
Have you ever ended up somewhere you never had plans on being? Well, that is the story of my life. I am Destiny Moore and my journey as a teacher and a learner has turned out to be something that I never knew it would be.
When I first began my journey as a Spartan, I went to college because I was supposed to, not because I thought I would end up being an Educator. Even though the journey was a crazy one, I graduated from Michigan State University with my Bachelor's Degree in English in 2010. When I crossed that stage, I knew who I was going to be. I was the teacher who would, in her own way, change the world.
Throughout my childhood, I was known for always questioning things and wondering why. That curiosity has bloomed into my role as an Educated Rebel. I don't define myself as a regular educator. I want to be someone who always does something more. I believe that one of the roles of an educator is to inspire inquiry. We learn from things when we question them, and that is my role. Welcome to the world of an Educated Rebel.
I am currently a 9th Grade English Teacher at Harper Woods High School in Harper Woods, MI.
This portfolio is a collection of my online work as a student in the Master's of Educational Technology Program at Michigan State University. I hope that you enjoy the journey.
